The Cinematheque KOFA co-hosts ‘Latin American Film Festival 2017’ with the Embassies of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica,  Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela between 5th and 10th, September, 2017.

This year’s program features films from a wide variety of topics and genres, catering for all tastes, including drama, comedy, adventure,  romance, thrillers, and science fiction. The movies  presented by the 13 participating countries will take viewers on a journey across the rich and diverse cultures of Latin America, enabling the public to broaden -between laughter, tears or surprise- their understanding about the different social realities of this fascinating region.

The titles of the movies that will be featured include: “Al final del túnel” (Argentina – drama, suspense), “Engaño a Primera Vista” (Bolivia – comedy, romance), “O Homem do Futuro” (Brazil – romance, comedy, science fiction), “Violeta went to Heaven” (Chile – biography), “Embrace of the serpent” (Colombia- drama), “A Ojos Cerrados” (Costa Rica – drama), “1809-1810 mientras llega el día” (Ecuador – drama), “Desierto” (México – drama, thriller), “Chance” (Panama – comedy), “Guaraní” (Paraguay – drama), “El Vientre” (Peru – drama), “El viaje hacia el mar” (Uruguay – drama, comedy) and the “Memorias de un Soldado” (Venezuela – drama, romance).
