'KOFA Double Feature: Spirit of Sinners' is inspired by Ryan Coogler's Sinners, one of the most exciting works of popular cinema to emerge from Hollywood in recent memory. Within the framework of multi-genre cinema, Sinners explores the profound concept of music as a tool of resistance, linking the lived history of Black American and Irish people through their respective folk music.

Embracing the film's inspired notion that music has the power to conjure up spirits of the past and the future, we now turn to the power of cinema to conjure up the spirits of blues musician Huddie Leadbetter aka Lead Belly and Irish traditional (sean nos) folk singer Seosamh O hEanai aka Joe Heaney to our screens.

This act marks the Korean premiere of Gordon Park's Leadbelly (1976) and Pat Collins' Song of Granite (2017).
