2026 Special Screening for Persons with Disabilities Day: Barrier-Free Film Screening

Barrier-free films: movies equipped with audio descriptions and barrier-free subtitles so that everyone can enjoy cinema, regardless of disability.
To commemorate the 46th Anniversary of Persons with Disabilities Day on April 20, the Korean Film Archive (KOFA) and the Korean Barrier Free Films Committee have co-organized an annual screening event to break down barriers and create an inclusive cinematic experience for all.
This year’s selection is the globally acclaimed musical film, La La Land. This masterpiece, which captures the brilliant journey of two dreamers, has been newly adapted into a barrier-free version directed by Lee Won-suk (The Royal Tailor, Killing Romance) and narrated by actress Lee Joo-woo.
Through audio descriptions and subtitles, this screening will be a precious opportunity for individuals with different sensory perceptions to fully share the profound emotions of the film. We invite you to the world of La La Land, newly enriched through the interweaving of language and senses.
