Kim Soo-yong Collection Kim Soo-yong Collection Year : 2011 This consists of four films of Kim Soo-yong, a leading director in the golden age of Korean movies in the 1960s: <The Seaside Village (Gaenma-eul)> (1965) that brought forth the era of “literary films” in the Korean movie world; <Confession of an Actress (Eoneu Yeobaeu-ui Gobaek)> (1967), an interesting testimony about Chungmu-ro in the 1960s and a movie about movie-making; <Mist (Angae)> (1967), which brought the novel『Travel to Mujin』written by Kim Seung-ok on screen and introduced the modernism drawing technique to Korean movies, and; <Night Journey (Yahaeng)> (1977) produced in 1973 but was released four years later after the deletion of some scenes due to censorship. |
