Kim Ki-young Collection Kim Ki-young Collection Director: Kim Ki-young Year : 2008 The Kim Ki-young Collection produced to mark the 10th anniversary of director Kim Ki-young contains the following four movies: ‘Goryeojang’ (1963), which shows the director’s unique but weird imagination; ‘Chungnyeo’ (1972), which is regarded as director Kim Ki-young’s representative work; ‘Promises’ (1975), which shows a section of twisted modern people; and ‘I-eoh Island’ (1977), which deals with an intense insight into human desire and destiny. It also contains detailed comments and commentary of the respective movies by director Bong Joonj-ho, director Oh Seung-wook, film critic Kim Yeong-jin, and film critic Chung Sung-il as well as an additional documentary, which will serve to illuminate director Kim Ki-young’s work. |
