Eul-hwa suddenly becomes a sorceress one day. When she arrives at the exorcism temple, she falls for Sung Bang-dol and marries him. She sends her step son Young-sul to Girim temple and she becomes a famous sorceress. But Bang-dol detests exorcism rituals and so leaves the village. When Christianity becomes widespread, Young-sul returns as a Christian. The tension grows between them and Eul-hwa burns Young-sul's bible and stabbed him with a knife.
