A thirteen-year-old boy, Kim Young-chul loses his mom at the birth of the youngest and his dad suffers from the mental disruption from a car accident. Young-chul goes to school with his baby brother and the other brothers have to support themselves. The villagers decide to send the boys to the orphanage but Young-chul decides to stay at home because he can't live without dad and the baby brother.
