During the Gwangju Democratization Movement of 1980, Chonnam University student Chong-su goes to stay with his friend Tai-hu, who supports himself by selling goods from an American PX on the black market with the help of Steve, a U.S. soldier. Eventually the two friends turn against Steve and the other American soldiers because of bad business dealings and the soldiers' mistreatment of Korean women.
