A once-succesful-actor, Kim Jin-gyu, comes across an old colleague, Hwang Jeong-soon, and they reminisce about the past. Jin-gyu was engaged to fellow actress Jeong Mi-young. When Mi-young becomes pregnant, the production company seeks to replace her. Jin-gyu strongly x-objects to this and becomes blacklisted while Mi-young dies from child birth. Jin-gyu spent the following years living in wretched melancholy. But Jeong-soon reveals tohim that his daughter is still alive.
