A poor seonbi (noble man) and a daughter of a tenant farmer are a couple of lovers. The land lore of his father is a sick old man with a chronic disease. An Oriental medical doctor prescribes a young woman's temperature will cure his disease. So, she now has to be sold to the old man. Her lover runs away with her in a remote coastal town in secret. The seonbi who becomes fisherman to support his wife dies in the wind and waves of the sea. She commits suicide by drowning to follow her husband. (KMDb)
