Jyung Sun comes to Korea to investigate the death of his father Seijing.  His father was a leading figure in the court music world but Sun pursued a different path and majored in engineering. Jyung goes to Halla mountain to find master Wu-dan, the leading player of  'kayageum'(twelve-stringed Korean harp), there he finds Ka-sil, Wu-dan's daughter.  He learns that his father died after hearing Wu-dan plays a very famous song entitled, 'As music isn't played, one cannot feel sadness'.
