Shorts
in thin air
Rushnan Jaleel | India | 2025 | 12min
‘in thin air’ attempts to touch the invisible plane of pure image wedged between camera and subject, to move the world within the frame rather than turning the frame towards the world. Ruptures in the image allow visible subjects to be woven and sifted through the weave of the edit like strands of hair through fingers.
OVERWORK
Céline Berger | Germany | 2025 | 10min
The found-footage short film OVERWORK offers a personal reinterpretation of a collection of educational 16mm films from the German Federal Employment Agency.
Unmeasurable Particles
Francisco Rojas | Chile | 2026 | 10min
A hovering camera exploration; The flow of a river becomes foreground and subject at the same time, movement creating fabric-like patterns of infinite permutations, tactile visual phenomena.
Afternoon Hearsay
Peng Zuqiang | China | 2025 | 19min
8.75mm film - a celluloid format unique to China and never circulated elsewhere, was a film format where no camera was made for. This print film stock was primarily used for mobile projection units to exhibit films in countryside, mountains, islands and ethnic minority regions in China from the 60s to 80s.
[ pink noise ]
Clint Enns | Canada | 2025 | 10min
A cinematic text. An anti-immersive experience. An inner odyssey.
The Gloaming
Charlotte Pryce | USA | 2025 | 14min
The Gloaming is a metaphorical tale of pyrophytic transmutation, of metamorphosis through fire. Inspired by medix-x-x-eval paintings of celestial portents, The Gloaming is a work of bio-mysticism that takes the form of a fable.
