Fixing the Rare: Breeder A is a fiction hybrid film following the struggle of an imaginary goldfish breeder in pursuit of the ultimate goldfish. Inspired by interviews with real breeders and excerpts from their diaries, it traces a story of obsession caught between preservation and transformation. Through his experimental journey, the audience indirectly witnesses the process by which life is born, selected, polished, and culled.

<fotofiction> is composed of layers of photographs taken in the filmmaker's hometown since 2011. Some of the images were created through an ongoing practice between Jeju and the mainland, using materials gathered from the land—cuttlefish bones, bird feathers, organic matter from tangerine orchards, and other natural elements—to imprint images directly onto analogue film. </fotofiction>
