Considered one of the greatest concert films of all time, Michel Gondry's Dave Chappelle’s Block Party is a lively document of the free hip-hop concert hosted by comedian Dave Chappelle in Brooklyn on September 18, 2004. Featuring a stunning lineup of hip-hop and R&B artists, including Kanye West, Mos Def, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Dead Prez, Black Star, Common, and The Roots, the gathering is a joyous tribute to Black culture, grassroots community spirit, and the neighborhood of Bed-Stuy. It also made history by facilitating one of the most significant reunions in hip-hop: The Fugees.
