1945, a number that means both liberation from a long-lasting colonial rule as well as from a horrible war. 1945 was a year of liberation and victory for some, a year of defeat for others. However, even with the end of the war, the pain that the world had to endure was far from insignificant. 
In the name of history that should not be forgotten, the Cinematheque KOFA presents a series of films that showcase the brutality of war. Let us look back and reflect on the importance of history carved with the number “1945.”
