Na On-bo lives looking for wild ginseng in the mountains. He finds an old ginseng and becomes a millionaire over night and plans his future accordingly. However, everyone in the village takes interest in the ginseng for themselves. Medicinal herb shop owner Kang tries to trick him into buying the ginseng cheap to him but On-bo sees through his greed and runs away into mountain with his family. When people look for him to take ginseng away, his son dies and Chun takes the ginseng from the family. On-bo who lost everything falls in despair.
