Nagamasu, a Japanese woman, fails to return to her homeland from Manchuria when Korea is declared independent from Japan on the 15th of August, 1945. She is left in Korea and protected securely by a Korean old lady. After the old lady passes away, she takes care of five children whom the old lady has raised, she becomes a barber with a resolution to spend her whole life serving Korean orphans. The day when the eldest of orphans graduates from an elementary school, her hidden deed is known to the world. This is a movie based on a real story.
