Dong-min, a terminally-ill lung cancer patient, meets a girl named Bo-yeong by chance. She, a daughter of a rich family runs out of the house when her close friend marries her father. Dong-min and Bo-yeong live together, but Dong-min indulges himself in self-tormenting. Bo-yeong does everything for his recovery. Her friend, Se-jeong, who inherited a tremendous amount of property from her dead father, is in the mental hospital run by her friend Gyeong-seok, because of threats by people around her who want the money. Se-jeong soon falls in love with Gyeong-seok and marries him giving the property to Bo-yeong. Watching his friends' lives, Dong-min slowly comes closer to death.
