Famous fashion designer Hyeryun is spending busy days preparing for her next fashion show. One night, Dohee, a fashion model who is like a younger sister to her, calls and urges her to visit the villa where her husband is staying alone. Feeling something strange, Hyeryun rushes to the villa, but as expected, her husband is there alone. However, this is actually a trap set by her husband and his mistress, Dohee, to kill Hyeryun. Using night fishing as an excuse, the husband lures his wife Hyeryun to the river and drowns her to death there. The husband and Dohee move Hyeryun’s body back to the house and secretly bury it in the garden pond, but the next day, her body has mysteriously disappeared. From that day on, signs that Hyeryun is still alive continuously appear before her husband, Sungmin.

This is the feature debut film by director Jung Ji-young and takes the form of a mystery thriller. The 1980s was a period when films with sexual codes, relatively free from censorship, were produced to divert public attention from political issues. This work was influenced by the syndrome of Madame Aema (directed by Jeong In-yeop, 1982) and ranked sixth in box office success among Korean films at the time of its release. However, this film cannot be simply dismissed as an 'erotic' movie. The era of the 1980s, when consumer capitalism was entering full swing, is symbolized through large Western-style mansions and villas, glamorous costumes, and cocktail parties. It is also a work in which one can see the appearances of the ill-fated actresses Oh Soo-mi and Yoon Young-shil.
