Jose Mojica Marins, the creator of the iconic Coffin Joe character, is Brazil's most internationally recognized horror filmmaker. More importantly, he inspired the emergence of Cinema Marginal, especially through inventive approaches made with minimal resources, and later collaborated with its key figures. This anthology film (censored by the dictatorship) concludes with one of his most famous stories: a professor, played by Marins himself, attempts to prove that instincts outweigh reason.
