[Cinema Marginal] Bang Bang
An actor on a film set blurs the line between his personal reality and his character's fiction. He seeks meaning and a way out of his tragicomic situation while pursued by criminals, a magician, a romantic fantasy, and a drunkard.
Tonacci's debut feature is another landmark of Cinema Marginal. A remarkably free-form work, it presents a series of disjointed narrative situations inhabited by deliberately exaggerated characters, whose behavior often borders on the animalistic or absurd: a protagonist in a monkey mask, cartoonish criminals, a mysterious dancer... A film that evokes simultaneously a new beginning and the end of cinema, pairing perfectly with 'Declaration of Fools' in a double bill.
