Peter Moore, Originale (1964, 30:13) Documented by Peter Moore, this footage captures a historic performance of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s eponymous avant-garde music theater, in which Nam June Paik participated as a performer. A stellar lineup of Fluxus and avant-garde figures—including Allen Ginsberg and Charlotte Moorman—came together to stage a radical happening that blurred the lines between theater, music, and art. The film serves as a precious archival document, offering a vivid glimpse into Paik's early, subversive, and experimental performance language as he douses himself in shaving cream and flour before climbing into a bathtub to wash.

Cinema Metaphysique No. 2,3,4 (1967, 08:39) This experimental work challenges traditional filmmaking by leaving the center of the frame entirely blank. Paik scatters text, body fragments, and abstract signs strictly along the outer edges of the screen.

A Tribute to John Cage (1973, 29:16) This monumental video work was created by Nam June Paik to celebrate the 60th birthday of his artistic companion and mentor, the avant-garde musician John Cage. The video opens with Paik’s tribute to Cage’s 4′33″, which had been performed at the Woodstock Festival twenty years prior, and shows Cage performing the piece in Harvard Square—a site of numerous political protests at the time. Structured in a collage format, the work visually reinterprets Cage’s innovative sound experiments and his philosophy of aleatoric music.
